As a child I always wanted to do many things, I remember I wanted to be a doctor, a teacher, a firefighter, among many other things that catch your attention as a child. However, I don't think I ever had a dream job since I was a child, but I was always curious about health-related work since most of my family belongs to this area of work.

During my time at school, I took a liking for mathematics and I was interested in engineering, but when I reached my last year of school I made a drastic change and I realized that what I wanted to study at the end of school would be medicine. I started preparing to take the PTU and during this period I kept asking about other careers to see if there was another one that caught my attention. The date came when I had to take the PTU, then I got the results and I applied to my two options, which were medicine and dentistry in different universities, being in the second option. It is worth mentioning that at that time I was not 100% convinced by the career, but comparing the labor field, salaries and many other factors, I believed that this would be the best decision based on what I wanted for my future. I had plenty of options to go into medicine if that is what I really wanted, but I decided to open my heart to dentistry and I think I really like the career now <3.

My experience at the university has been very nice, I didn't think I would meet such amazing people here. The first few months I didn't feel very comfortable and then I met my current group of friends who I know I will be able to count on whenever I need them. Now that we are back on campus it has been hard for me to leave my family, who I always saw every day, and my childhood friends, since we all studied in different cities, but I think that with time I will get better at this.

Now I'll leave you some pictures :)

this is a picture of one of last year's face-to-face activities

  1. I can imagine how difficult it must have been to have to leave your family and friends in your hometown and travel to Santiago. The good thing is that you have a network of friends from the university that helps make the process more enjoyable.

  4. I completely understand you, it is hard to leave your family to come to study in another city, but believe me that when you make friends in this new city it is easier!!!
